Amelie Rouget

Amelie is a Provisional Psychologist working with children, adolescents and families under supervision. She trained in Europe, completing a Master of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at Utrecht University and a research Master’s at Maastricht, and spent six months at an adolescent psychiatric hospital in Belgium running individual and group therapy with young people navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and relational difficulties. Her particular interests are neurodevelopment, emotional regulation and trauma-informed care, and she works in a warm, culturally responsive and person-centred way, drawing on CBT, trauma-focused CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy and play therapy. Amelie speaks French and English, and also works as an early childhood educator, which keeps her close to how children actually learn, play and settle.
