THIRD PARTY REBATES

Health Care Funds: Please contact your health care provider to obtain information about your rebate for services with your practitioner. A tax receipt will be provided to you at the end of your session to claim your rebate with your health care fund or we can use our HICAPS machine on site on the day.

Medicare: if you have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), you can access Medicare rebates for clinical psychology, psychology and Occupational Therapy services at Connections WA. This care plan is developed by your GP and allows for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year. Support is available both in person and via Telehealth (online therapy).

How the Process Works:

  1. Initial Referral: Your GP provides a referral for your first six sessions. We will update your GP on your progress at session 5/6.
  2. Progress Review: After six sessions, you will return to your GP for a review which you can discuss an additional 4 sessions under your treatment plan.

  3. Additional Sessions: Send in your GP treatment plan to support your continuation of care. You can pay privately is needed without a GP referral

You will be required to provide us with your Medicare and credit card details upon your initial booking with us.

A deposit of $100 will be taken to secure your first appointment which is non refundable. Upon checking in on the day, you will be required to pay the balance of your session. For clients who have a Mental Health Treatment Plan, Enhanced Primary Care Plan or Chronic Disease plan, we will process your Medicare rebate on the day. There is a gap fee with all practitioners as Medicare does not cover all the fees.

From 01/07/2026 to 30/06/2027 Medicare will rebate:

  • $149.05 per standard consultation with a Clinical Psychologist.
  • $101.50 per standard consultation with a Psychology
  • $60.00 per standard consultation with an Occupational Therapist

Direct Referrals: We also accept referrals from Psychiatrists and Paediatricians under the “Better Access” initiative. In these cases, a formal Mental Health Care Plan is not required—only a signed referral letter.

We welcome NDIS clients who are either plan managed or self managed. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide services to agency managed clients as we are not a registered provider of the NDIA.

Billing for NDIS is in alignment with the NDIS pricing arrangement. Billing is separate for session time, report writing, session notes and travel. For self managed clients, payment is required on the day, for plan managed clients we invoice your plan manager for payment.
