Therapies we use.

We choose the approach that fits you, not the other way round. Many people need a blend, and that can change over time.

Strengths-based care

We start with what is already working for you. Your strengths shape every goal and plan.

CBT

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Looks at how thoughts, feelings and actions connect. You practise small changes that fit your life.

ACT

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Aims to help you make room for hard thoughts and feelings, and take steps towards what matters to you.

DBT skills

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Teaches skills for big emotions, distress and relationships, learnt and practised step by step.

Mindfulness

Practising noticing the present moment, without judgement. Aims to steady attention and ease stress in the body.

Schema therapy

Looks at deep patterns that began early in life. Aims to meet needs that were missed, in kinder ways.

Narrative therapy

You are not the problem; the problem is the problem. Aims to help you retell your story with your strengths in view.

Imagery rescripting

Revisits a painful memory in imagination, with support. You change what happens so that the needs in it are met.

Chair work

Uses chairs to give a voice to different parts of you. Aims to help with inner critics, grief and unfinished conversations.

Psychotherapy

Deeper talking therapy over a longer time. Aims to help you understand patterns and grow in a safe relationship.

Interpersonal neurobiology

How we understand people, not a single technique. Safe relationships help brains and bodies heal and grow.

Not every psychologist offers every therapy. Our care team matches you with the right person. Our psychologists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).

This page is general information only. It is not a psychological service and does not diagnose. Please speak with a psychologist about what fits you.
